Hi Everyone! I have noticed that Blossom is bobbing her head lots and dances with it also. It's kind of like a up and down motion. I haven't seen this from her as of yet. I have researched this movement and I am getting tons of various responses. Well...what do you think this behavior is?

Have a safe Memorial Day Weekend!

You are so funny!! lol that is perfectly normal and I love it when Bob does the happy dance and bobs. He usually does this with his bell on his head and it is very funny!!

Oh, so it's a happy dance. The reason I asked was because, I never saw her do it before. I am so happy that it's a normal behavior in a happy budgie. I was a bit worried that it was a type of courtship behavior. She is a single bird...thank God and no eggs to date. Blossie will be turning three years old around the beginning of June. (I think).

Getting warm here in Upstate NY. I am going home to give her a bath. I actually have to hold the bath near her comfort platform...yes the padded platform and she jumps in it from there. It is adorable to see a wet budgie!

gonna hit the 80's here in a couple days ...was nice today as well in upper 70's and yahhhhh thats a happy lil budgie being excited about something ...maybe a toy she is playing with at the time she bobs....

cappy at two plus years is doing new things too...becoming a bit more exploratory about things ..and where he never would jump down to the bottom of the cage before is doing it now also...and finding new ways to PLAY with the same toys much to his delight...and mine watching him....he is expanding his floor territory to that he ventures into...

no telling where all this is going to lead too but oh boy... laugh
