Hello Lupa.

Welcome smile

I am not surprised that the poor bird is having trust issues after going through all that.

If your dog tried to eat her, then I think that I would see an avian vet, if it were me. There is little point worrying about her trust, if there could be serious health issues. Dog saliva can make parakeets ill. And there could be injuries that you don't know about.

She must be in shock ~ poor thing.

If she is ok, health-wise, then she is still going to need a lot of time to get over this ~ and will not want to be anywhere near the cat and the dog.

Do please make sure that neither your cat, nor your dog, can get to her, again, in this way.

PDM gave EXCELLENT ADVICE...please do keep your other animals completely away as the saliva is VERY toxic an the smallest of breaks to the skin from a cat will go unnoticed and cats claws and teeth carry a very serious bacteria that will also kill your bird should something happen...

she is a baby and as yet to learn about other foods ...at least im thinking she is a baby you didnt mention how old it was...and millet should NOT BE FED its dusty very often old and seeds get stuck in their nares and can also cause crop impaction...

just keep up with the fresh veggie offerings what are you giving for those??? Sometimes adding different colored veggies together sparks more of a interest such as some fresh torn up baby spinach or brocolli with some corn cooked brown rice some small carrots diced etc...all in one bowl...and also offering it in the morning as a FIRST feed removing the seed for several hours then replace the seed say in four hours and remove the veggies in 6 hours...place the bowl with the veggies on the bottom of the cage where less poops will fall into the food...keets are ground feeders and like to forage low for special things...good luck... smile
