your right dont bother her and again sorry if i confused you with another person in here who lost their male bird...so many of you lately with breeding issues...glad to hear your pair are fine wolfie...and believe me he isnt lonely without his mate...
SUPER glad to know you listen and dont mess around in the nestbox UNLIKE some others...proud of you for that....and yah she will push them together and thats also a way she will rotate the eggs as thats very necessary SHE does that and NOT us...and then will fluff herself up and squat...i cant imagine that being very comfortable for hens ...i get a visual of us trying to make a bunch of small rocks under some blankets comfortble lol...
they dont really need the nesting material and in the summer when its really hot that can really actually be worse to do...
so keep us informed of your little family...do you have a vet on call nearby just in case YOU SHOULD...and do you already have savings for another cage to put the fledged babies in when it comes time and away from parents...???
dont let her go to a second clutch tho and take down that nest box when all but one fledges and just take the other out at the same time...they will be fine...
oh one more thing be sure to offer her a shallow bowl of water on the bottom of the cage to bathe in should she or the male decide to do that as its also a way they bring in some moisture to the eggs should they feel its necessary.
anxious for more updates....keep doing well with them and NOT messing around in her little nursery
