Hi everyone! I enjoy reading the forum and have learned a lot here, but there is something I haven't read. I do think it's a good idea to get a kitchen scale and weigh your bird regularly so you know what his normal weight is. That way, if he starts losing weight, you'll know it, possibly before any other signs that you see. Just a suggestion! Have a great day!

Hi cheerio,
Very good suggestion there smile
In fact there is a thread here somewhere regarding birds' weights, asking for weight and pics of our birds. So if you have a weight on your bird maybe you could find the thread and add yours to it?

I can't seem to find it right now, but maybe illusive has the link to it.

here is a general link

http://www.avianweb.com/AverageBirdWeights.htm

here is the link to the forum chart ...remember not all keets are genetically larger ...some keets like CAPPY are a bigger keet..so weights will vary to what is ideal for your particulary keet...

chest area near keel bone should be well filled out...and broad thru chest and shoulders IF MATURE bird.
