i have no problem with your view mongrel so no worries but ...mother ..is earth mother ...or a father??? again i dont believe the earth is **gender relative...but yes earth does deserve our respect and on that we can both agree...

earths reactions for all these years since it came to be had lil to do with its inhabitants (which at one time did not include man) but rather the composition of elements and their workings from within itself....in relationship to what you said...about to every action there is a reaction...

the dynamics of this planet is mostly a functionality to what is involved in its make-up ...and has been since it became this thing called earth...changes climate and shape (topography) and tilt etc are a result thru all these years on that...its heating up and cooling also in part due to what goes on with the sun...

man doesnt help but it certainly isnt the catylist to all these events in and of itself that has been going on from its beginning ...neither were the prehistoric inhabitants responsible of those times that MAJOR changes happened... and certainly not to the extent of importance that we give it.

even the slighest universal gravitional shifts in relationship to the sun / moon and the rest of this galaxy is the largest contributor to events and changes here with the heating and cooling of earths core...and those gravitional shifts are when many other stars burn out and meteors fall etc ...that disruption of space, creates new contributing factors to shifts .. climate, gravity.. tilting...you name it...

but earth doesnt possess emotions or harbor anger, or seeks to punish etc ...its our own way of thinking that puts that out....

For thousands of years people have yearned for the comforts that mother earth provides thus only recently, in the past two hundred years or so, has man decided that our sacred mother does not provide all that we need. It is my most sincere belief that the Gods, Mother Earth being one of those Gods, intends to punish us for straying from the balance that man maintained for eons. Science has given us the extra comfort that we sought out and it has also provided the proof that we need to understand our mother's anger.

The Oceans will rise, temps will increase, earthquakes will continue to escalate, weather will continue to become more unpredictable and dangerous, and we will continue to suffer the wrath of our great mothers pains. We destroy the forests, encourage the red tides and continue to spew CO2 into the atmosphere at unbelievable levels - levels that rival the volcanoe activity which occured just before the last ice age.

I worked for one of the world's largest Public Utilities, for a decade, and I saw the reports daily from each of the six power plants that I helped to maintain. A 250 Megawatt power plant averaged 200 tons of CO2 per hour at peak operation and peak lasted seven hours a day sometimes especially during the summer and deep winter. Power plants are nothing compared to the CO2 created by the automobiles.The Science proves that Global Warming is being caused by CO2 emmissions.

Illusive it is just my belief that our Great Mother is hurting because of our actions. To have an instinctive feeling about your surroundings, to hear the moans of a dying tree or animal is something that comes with my religious practices. My blood blends with the rocks, trees and earth every full moon so we are one with the world. This is a ritual that goes back thousands of years. We raise our hands high to the full moon in reverence to Caridwen and we praise the earth through Cernunnos, God of the Hunt and protector of the lands, forests and animals.

Im just telling you this because Earth is my Mother and I do what I can to protect her. Earth is mother to all but greed blinds most to her needs. Capitalism is the greatest evil to ever reign in all the lands because it consumes all it sees without remorse. We are on the same page and want the same things I just wish that I could allow you to see and hear the world through my eyes and ears for one day.

I have no idea whether or not global warming is really real, but many of the experts think that it is, and, rather than hoping that they are wrong, I think that it would be a good idea for us to be a bit more careful.

We have one planet. We are polluting it. We need to look after it. That should be enough, I think.

And I am as guilty as anyone of using water and electricity.
