i have had a male and female budgie for about a year and a half now but recently the female has gotten quiet, puffy, and has stuck by the male more. however she is eating regularly and hasn't gained or lost weight. is she sick or holding eggs.

dont know from here and you need to get to a AVAIN VET very quik by the sounds of things especially if she is egg bound which is very likely...any maybe too late even now but best to try.
..these things should always mean do not waste time here but to get to a avian vet asap...so sorry

Puffy budgie often means SICK BUDGIE! You know your birds best! Any weird changes you may notice it's better to be safe than sorry! Call your AVIAN VET!

maybe something changes around your budgie. it'd better to see the veterinarian. best wishes
