if you disturb them eggs could get cracked and you will have nothing if you disturb them when babies mama may stop feeding...you will see them soon enough and id wait till two weeks after you hear lil peeps to take a fast peek...when mama is out of the nest and do a nest box cleaning disturbing them as little as possible when you do this.

be sure you also have some nestling food so mama and papa can feed it to them...get some Petamine ebay sometimes sells it....if you cant find it then go here and get this

https://www.birdsupplynh.com/catalog/pro...261aab9ee195a95

the babies will need this...the parents will eat it and then feed babies..

Parakeet eggs typically hatch after about 18 days of incubation. It's not unusual for parakeets to lay infertile eggs. I have female parakeets and they lay eggs occasionally, and the eggs would not hatch of course because I had no male parakeets.

In my case I would remove the egg and the parakeet would go on with life, until the mood struck them eventually to lay another egg somewhere down the road.

When did your parakeet first lay these eggs? Is it her first time laying a clutch?

its time to check...but the first egg will not hatch at the same time as the last...how many does she have...id say wait a bit more if she has more than just two eggs...as they would hatch every other day just as they are laid...

she wont have laid many eggs as there is a point where they stop laying when doing clutches...can be anywhere from one to seven eggs maybe....

the time to be concerned is if she tries to lay to many clutches at once...

be sure she has access to plenty of calcium ...scrap some if you have to from the cuttle bone onto food...just a little you dont have to cover seed with it...

try to wait till she comes out of the box for a few minutes
