I do agree that corruption is everywhere, and that the US has numerous issues.

So nobody is perfect. But I do think we should aim for "less corruption" as much as we can.

i'm amazed to see how many countries are absent from the graph. i think its accuracy is questionable.

the uk is possible the most corrupt country in the world - owi ng to the massive proportion of gdp which comes from the financial services industry, and the uk's free for all deregulated market which has made much of the financial woes of the past few years possible, this means that a very large chunk of british gdp comes from financial fraud. the uk is a money laundering racket.

finding honest figures on this kind of thin will be all but impossible.

The graph isn't meant to be all inclusive. It's meant to give a representation of a few in each category. A graph with every single country on it would be quite hard to read.

I don't think it's about simple dollar figures because then it would be weighted towards all the high-income countries and leave out all low-income countries. It's trying to examine how pervasive corruption is in all levels of society, which is different.
