Just to keep eveyone up to date:

I will be breeding my 2 when they are of age, and both in breeding mode. They will be sexually mature in only 4 mos. I think Lime (fm) is also around the same age, maybe even younger, but not by a lot!

I will be keeping 2, and be giving 1 or 2 to my cuz. She loves keets, and has had them b4.

I hope they produce at least 2. 3 or 4 would be PERFECT!

I need help: My bird hatched 2 keets about 3 1/2 weeks ago in a drawer in an armoire in a quiet room. But today, one keet got stuck behind the drawer for several hrs. (we realized this later in the day when we didn't see it for a long time). I had to remove the drawer, take the baby, and return him to the nest area. He was screaming (I think from fright not from being hurt). But I think he had no food for hrs. and tonight the mother has not been going back to the nest much, even as she usually does when it starts getting dark. Is this normal? What should I do? Should I put any kind of food material in the drawer, or is it too soon for them to eat themselves. Please, does anyone know what I should do?

hmm... you could take it upon yourself to care for the baby. you could buy or fashion yourself a brooder and handfeed it. it would take A LOT of work, but if you really really want to make sure that the baby will live you can do that.

I agree. But is she feeding the other baby? if not, then you might have to hand feed them both. Purchace a brooder...and a surringe (sp?) and some baby bird formula. Have the vet show you how to feed them, and how often. Good luck!
