hello everyone, smiley face! hmmmmmmmmmm Tom hanks, doesn't sound quite right to me, however as noted above i hope he can adapt his skills adequatly. I guess its my preconceived aesthetic that of Langdon that concerns me, Hanks's mannerisums are not disimilar than langdon, and he is a wonderful actor. (despite his irratable role in the ussually smashing, but not on this occasion, Cohen brothers film. the lady killers.) The great thing i think is that atleast casting hasn't chosen a typcast actor, something that hollywood is plauged by. This is great for film. If i see Denzel Washington play one more police officer i will be forced to shed manly tears.

oh yeah sorry, its fantastic Amelie and the proffesional are on board. I personnaly nominate Gerard depardieu as Collet, Vernet, or any other french speeking part, we cant leave him out of this one! Not so sure about Gandalf, but the man can act, and with a bit of magic i'm sure heel be great, still i can't stop thinking if only Gerad was english he'd make a dashing Teabing.

On a rollllllllllllllllllllllllllll P.S. how's this for a cospiracy theory. I think Gerard depardieu is the new grand master of the priory of sion, how else could they leave him out of the film, afterall he is a prominent french figure, and ive seen a blow wave in his beard that bore a peculiar resemblence to a chalice! he he... smiley face.

I have just finished the book and no doubt it is a great work. Regarding filming this story, I would prefer Johnny Depp or Ewan McGregor or Nicolas Cage as Langdon.

I'm quite glad that Tom Hanks plays Langdon. I imagined him exactly like Tom Hanks!!! Regarding Audrey Tautou, i admit that i'm happy as well, cause she's French, like me, and i think she can be a great Sophie. Ian McKellen as Leigh Teabing....just WONDERFUL !!! Really, this casting is perfect, according to me. Can't wait to see it!!! 8 months left!!! I'm gonna die!!!

I think the book makes very good reading and inspired me to find this site. As to whether it is true or not or what I believe in then I would say that anything that disrupts the awful power and control that all churches and the religious (catholic, protestant, islamic or whatever) have over people is good.
I hope the book causes much angst for as many churches as possible. Churches have caused and continue to cause so much trouble. May education free us from their grip.
