i was looking for pics of black or red parakeets and i came across this one isnt that toy bad for parakeets since they can get their feet stuck inside it? and its a pet care site, too.

It's safe in that the bird won't be able to climb on it and get his/her claws caught. They're very popular in pet stores and with bird sellers here. I've had them for a long time and never had an accident. It's personal choice though so if you don't feel happy with it, don't use it

I've asked some experienced friends about the picture, they say it looks like a Rosey Bourke's, not a budgie at all. they are about the same size as a budgie so I can see how someone unexperienced could get confused.

Emmie, I wasn't trying to put you on the spot, I just knew that wasn't a budgie. A keet, yes, but not a budgie. That site frequently makes mistakes identifying birds, and I guess the owner did too. I would like to see a better photo of your bird though!
