They are both bird shop keets(separate bird shops) they didn't come from birdie jail(petco/petsmart)
Skylar I've had since mid Feb, s/he was parent raised. A very smart & friendly bird, he had my trained, & I have even heard him say "pretty bird", Approximate age when I got him 10-12 weeks. He's not used to being handled & he became flighted before I was able to hand train him. it was 2 weeks before I let him out of the cage. A very perceptive but a bit indignant after getting his wings clipped. We had to get his wings reclipped(he was still flighted after I took him in for the wing clip), he also earned himself a free beak trim/filing by biting the story lady(he doesn't won't use the cuttlebone)
Romeo I've had approximately a month, 6-8 week old when I got her, she's a hand fed bird, so he/she was able step up on day 2. Very curious, inquisitive personality, i think is learning boundaries.
They're both used to being out on regular basis, I typically have to put Romeo away first it's easier to pick him up without her trying to convince him that they should run across the room.
One is used to being handled the other is not.
I'm not making mountain out of molehill for now they're staying in same cage, just seem to squabble occasionally like any birds or roommates.
they have a large rectangular cage, dowel perch in front, split branch perch in back, various in cage toys(including 2 perch swings) & treats, 2 seed dishes, 1 water dish. I also have a 3 shelf metal barred magazine rack that I've converted into a metal level parakeet playground
