Sometimes they have little fights and make angry "ACK, ACK, ACK" noises! And then the fight ends the next minute. Parakeets are usually very peaceful.

Now, if you're talking about aggressive LONG fights, then you have a problem. What do the fights look like?

sounds like someone is just establishing a pecking order..which happens when there is more than one bird involved...especially when there ***maybe isnt enough of food cups for them supplied or the cage space is small.

WEll the male will just like look at the female then she move or he make noises at her or use his beak and kinda of peck her in the head then they start making kissing noises and the male trying to get on top of the female she then refused to let him on and he then dont want her besides him no more after that they start i guess rubbing their beaks together !!

thats mating behavior, thats not a fight. its courting and hes trying to breed. the female might not want to breed so she is playing hard to get for now. if her cere is brown and crusty it is very possible that they will reproduce. if you dont want young ones, separate them. if you do, inform yourself as to what supplements the female may need for egg laying- such as extra calcium.

Sounds like mating behavior to me to Mike.
The only sure way to prevent breeding is to separate them.
Unless you are fully prepared and educated what all that entails, I would FOR SURE separate them. There is a lot more to breeding than folks imagine.
