How to Read a Wine Label

Reading a wine bottle label can certainly be intimidating. There is a lot of information on most labels - source of the grapes, types of grapes, region names, percent alcohol, and more. If the wine is from a certain region, say Champagne or Bordeaux, at least you can Look up the Region and learn more about it. What about those that are more general?

Here are labels for you to study and learn, with notes to go with each one. Practice with these, and soon you'll be able to get more information than you thought possible from those labels at the wine shop.

David Arthur Chardonnay - US
Roi Chevalier St Emilion - France
Cape Cod Pinot Grigio - US
