Ukraine Wine Bottle Label

I have a special place in my heart for Ukraine. My mother is a full blooded Ukraine, born to Ukrainian parents as they fled through Germany just after World War II. I am therefore half Ukrainian, grew up learning how to do Ukrainian dancing, eating Ukrainian food and learning a little of the Ukrainian language.

Ukraine is known as the "breadbasket of Europe" and they are well known in the Russian world for their wines. They tend to make wines out of native grapes, not out of "French grapes" that the US might recognize. Still, as the world becomes more global, some Ukrainian vineyards are planting more world-known grapes to break into the larger market.

Here are photos of a bottle of white sparkling wine I've tried, made from chardonnay, "Pinot" (pinot noir?) and "sauvignon" (sauvignon blanc?)
