Screwpull Corkscrew

I'm not just saying this. I love my Screwpull corkscrew. I have quite a number of corkscrews in the house, but I'll literally go hunting for the Screwpull if I can't find it, rather than use something else. Why?

It's just so easy. I don't have the greatest hand strength in the world, so I'll have trouble with some of those yank-it-out styles. With the Screwpull, you just start turning the screw into the cork. When the screw reaches a certain point, instead of going deeper into the cork it starts drawing the cork out of the bottle - with the same turning motion! So all you do is put the corkscrew on the bottle and start turning, and shortly the cork is out and you're all set.

There's even a small cutting edge on the inside to remove the covering of the cork with one twist.

Oxo Corkpull Corkscrew
Normally I'd stay away from the non-Screwpulls, but I love the Oxo line in general. Their easy-grip kitchen equipment is simply amazing. If you need something better to grip on than the Screwpull, I'd give this a try.

Screwpull Pocket Corkscrew
For the same price as the Screwpull table model you can get the pocket model. The only real difference is in the handle - the pocket model folds a bit better so you can carry it with you.
