Catherine the Great Sangria Recipe
Catherine the Great was an amazing ruler, keeping charge of Russia for an astonishing 34 years. She brought stability and power to Russia, modernized the culture, and promoted education for women. This delightful sangria in her honor features the pomegranate - long a sign of female strength - as well as the traditional Russian vodka!
Ingredients
1oz vodka
1oz pomegranate liqueur
peaches
1 glass red wine
Put the vodka and pomegranate liqueur into a glass. Add in the peaches. Fill with red wine.
Na Zdorovie!
Note - you can buy frozen peaches in bags in the grocery store. This makes it easy to just scoop out a few of them each time you want to make sangria. They act as natural ice cubes for your drink!
To turn this into a party sangria recipe, there are usually four large glasses of wine in a 750ml bottle of wine. Simply multiply all ingredients by four and use a full bottle of wine in a large pitcher or bowl.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
