Kumquat Berry Sangria Recipe
Kumquats are cute little citrus fruits that are sort of like mini oranges. Unlike oranges, you eat the rind on a kumquat, since it's so thin. The rind is sweet, the inside is sour, and it's a delicious combination! The blueberries add antioxidants and a rich undertone. The Strawberries add in a delicious, fresh flavor!
You can use any style of red wine you wish, although a spicy variety does better to add to the combination of tastes you get.
Ingredients
5 kumquats, sliced in half
5 blueberries
3 strawberries
1 oz tangerine liqueur
1 glass red wine
Refrigerate all items ahead of time so they're nice and cold. Put the kumquats, blueberries and strawberries into a glass. Add in the ounce of tangerine liqueur. Fill with red wine.
Enjoy!
Note - you can buy frozen blueberry and strawberry bags in the grocery store. This makes it easy to just scoop out a few of them each time you want to make sangria. They act as natural ice cubes for your drink!
To turn this into a party sangria recipe, there are usually four large glasses of wine in a 750ml bottle of wine. Simply multiply all ingredients by four and use a full bottle of wine in a large pitcher or bowl.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
