Melon Low Sugar Sangria Recipe
Many people are reducing sugar in their diets, for obvious reasons! Sugar adds on the pounds and rots out your teeth. Here's a low sugar version of Sangria that makes a deliciously light punch!
Sparkling Ice is a sugar-free drink mix that comes in a variety of flavors. Look through the selection in your store and choose one that appeals to you.
Ingredients
2 2-liter bottles Melon / Mango Sparkling Ice
1 750ml bottle rose / White Zinfandel wine
1 cup strawberries, sliced
Begin by mixing up two bottles of melon or mango flavored sparkling ice. Mix in the rose or white Zinfandel. You can balance how sweet or non-sweet the punch is by this wine selection - while most white zinfandels are sweet, most rose are quite dry.
Now add in the strawberries for their luscious flavors and antioxidants, stir, and add ice to chill!
To turn this into a single-glass sangria recipe, a typical assumption is that one 750ml bottle of wine yields four large glasses of wine. Divide all ingredients shown by four. If you're making just one glass worth you probably don't want to wait for the overnight soaking. If the mixture doesn't soak, you just won't get as much of the fruit / berry flavors permeating the sangria.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
