Barbera Wine Information

Barbera is a relatively recent wine for Italy, only mentioned in the 1600s. It's a rich, robust red that is made with the barbera grape. The wine can age for 5 years or more, and goes well with hefty red meats. This wine must be at least 12% alcohol.
