Tempranillo Wine Information

Tempranillo is a red grape which has been used in the Rioja wine from Spain for centuries. Rioja is a red wine blend which is also made from Garnacha Tinta, Graciano, and Mazuelo.

In the recent past more winemakers outside of Spain are taking the plunge and making a wine solely from tempranillo.

Tempranillo makes wines with tobacco, herb and berry flavors. They can be drunk young, but many also benefit from several years of ageing.
