My father has some old wines stored but I don't have the information of the wines on hand but I know they've been stored for years, and i was just wondering if they would still be safe to drink or if they should have been stored in a special way. I believe they are red wines but if you need more info to know exactly I will post it later. HELP! THanks! I'm new to wines but I really enjoy them!

There's no set rule for white wine. Many white wines in modern times are meant to drink in 6 months and go downhill quickly after that. Other famous Chablis are meant to drink after MUCH more than 5 years. So it all depends on what you get
