Now that I too always have wine to "finish off", I find I am happier with screw cap closures.

Still only buy them inadvertantly - that is to say, I don't actually notice closure until I go to open bottle.

Yes I am very fond of screw caps. In fact the Conundrum I'm drinking right now is a screw cap and it's not a cheap wine. It makes storing it ("recorking it") SO much easier.
