What are all those bottles? So much to learn but so little time to study. Genealogy told me where the forbearers were weaned on wine. Presuming pallets to be hereditary traits brought this old frog to the Bordeaux that serves him now so well.

Ignorance can be a blessing. It wards off any threat of paying eighty dollars for wine to wash down a sandwich.

Better we go with the presumption that pallets are platforms for temporary storage and the presumption that palates are not hereditary.

"Ignorance can be a blessing. It wards off any threat of paying eighty dollars for wine to wash down a sandwich."

How so? What does ignorance have to do with it? If one could afford to do so, why not?

I imagine he's saying that it's easier on his meager wallet to not be tempted into overspending smile
