But it does sound more like a summer drink. I don't know how well it would go over now that it is getting colder. I'll have to put it in my file, though!

That is very true, sangria is really popular in the summer and then mulled wine drinks become popular in the winter

I have had a peach sangria which is also very delicious. But the peaches are ripe and cut up and marinated in the wine, any red wine esp Spanish. A splash of OJ and a shot of brandy and ice are added to the pitcher (and stir) just before serving.

That sounds really tasty! I love peace sangrias, they have a lovely, juicy flavor to them. I bet the OJ adds a nice dash of citrus flavor!
