August 1999 Taste of Massachusetts
Nashoba Valley Winery
The Taste of Massachusetts event was the first "open to the public" event
at Nashoba we'd been to in a long time. It was amazing seeing the hordes of people
lounging on blankets, picking apples, listening to the jazz music and enjoying the
food and wine.
The event ran from noon until five, and featured quite a number of restaurants
and bakeries sampling their wares. Each was paired with a Nashoba Valley wine,
and wine tours and tastings ran throughout the day. We arrived at 3pm, and Bob
was promptly put to work opening bottles. We helped out until the festival closed,
chatting with the visitors and helping out at the tasting booth.
