Kansas Wine Shipping Laws

Kansas is very cold to be making wine. Does anybody know of any wineries in Kansas?

Kansas has an odd situation which I think might be illegal, we'll have to see if it is challenged. As of July 2009 Kansas created a new two-tier system. If you physically go to a winery and order the wine AT the winery you can have unlimited amounts of wine shipped home to you. However, if you just call up the winery or order on the internet you can only have 12 cases of wine a year sent to you.

Most judges have said this kind of on-site requirement is not legal because it unfairly burdens wineries that are far away (for example in California). Still at least for now Kansas residents can get wine shipped in!

Let me know if you have any fresh information about Kansas wine shipping laws! If you have recently had wine shipped in to you here, please let me know how smoothly the experience went. Often the laws say one thing, but FedEx and UPS say another!
