New Jersey Wine Shipping Laws
New Jersey is the Garden State. Yes, the areas by New York are industrial and are seen in the Sopranos. If you head south a bit, though, you hit some lovely areas for wine grapes to grow.
Unfortunately for New Jersey wine consumers, it is illegal to get wine shipped in to you in New Jersey. You can't even get wine shipped home to you if you are personally visiting a winery. Even if you want to hand carry wine into the state, you have to request permission by writing to:
The Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, CN 087, Trenton, NJ 08625
