I have the same problem with my Female parakeet as she likes to chew the wood off the platform.
I bought it from a place that sold things for parakeets.
I generally end up with a mess on the cage floor.
Anyone have an idea or help.

Female parakeets are meant to chew. That's how they build nests. This isn't a problem smile. It's normal natural behavior that all healthy female parakeets should be doing smile.

Keep giving her wood things to chew. It's what she's meant to do. Then take away the bits and recycle them smile.
