Hey I must have missed something here. I'm from NY, is this vet you're referring to someone I should know about? Can you give me name and location,or at least direct me to thread about it? And I thought it was only considered slander if what was said about the person was NOT true?? I feel that if a vet or doctor or whoever gives wrong treatment or claims to be certified in an area that they're really not then yeah by all means let others know so that it doesn't happen to them! Afterall isn't that freedom of speech?

There was nothing wrong with Ant's post as I left it.

She(?) explained what happened at a vet's practice and how a specific vet let her down.

I edited out only a very small portion ~ descriptive words for this man ~ which went past 'fact' into what might have been considered slander or libel. It did not take away anything from the story, or the facts, or opinion, or information.

I informed Ant that I had done this to protect the site in case of legal repercussions.

Ant then deleted her(?) posts.
She said that she would re-post her story.

I was way too upset to be angry at him at the office. I was more in shock and tears than anything else. I told him no needles and all he kept saying was he was very sick. And yes, I am going about filing a complaint against him.

Good, if he acted against your wishes, then you should make an official complaint.

Lisa Shea here, the owner of this website, commenting on Helwa's posts.

I am in the United States. I have run websites for many years. Just because another random website does something that you have seen, it does NOT make that action legal. Many websites promote child porn. That does not make child porn legal. It simply means you have found one of the millions of websites which promote illegal activities.

I run this forum in an extremely legal manner. I state this in our rules which you accept when you request the privilege of posting in this forum. These rules include, amongst other things, never posting an email address. I have worked closely with Symantec's security team to develop a set of rules which protect our members from harm. Whether or not you agree with my rules is besides the point. They are rules developed with a team of internet experts, and they are the rules we have in place.

If you want to participate in illegal activities - or you feel the rules in place in this forum are too harsh - there are certainly other forums out there which actively enjoy illegal activities, or which operate without safety rules in place.

For people who want to retain posting privileges in this forum, they need to abide by this forum's rules. I cannot make the situation any more clear than that.

It is as if you go to a swimming pool which has rules about "no babies in diapers in this pool". It makes no sense to whine and complain about the rule. If you go to that pool, you abide by that rule. If you want to put your diaper-baby into water, then you need to go elsewhere where that is an accepted thing to do.

ive said what i had to say.

i think what has been done to ant in this post is so wrong.

i will leave it alone now ... its done.

if anyone is in NY and wants to know who this vet is .... send me a message and i will tell you and just to clear up any legal issues lisa thinks she may face here send it to my email.

and good day smile

Helwa, if you are going to continue to post in our forums, you need to abide by our clearly laid out safety rules which include no email addresses posted, ever. We explain in great detail why email addresses should never be posted. The PM system is secure and is in place explicitly to maintain safe communication.

Helwa, it is not advisable to put your e-mail address on a public forum.

Plus, Ant intends to re-post the details.

im sorry lisa, and pdm but i do not agree, and i donot accept that.

other feel the exact same but they are SCARED to say so out loud because they are quite literally terrified of being banned from the site !!!!!! they feel that if they disagree with you or pdm or they post something you dont like they will be banned even this post was removed for that fear....

Really?

Personally I think that what happened to Ant was terrible, and her thread stood as a testimony to it.
Sadly it has now turned into this.

its my email address and i approve it being there.

its ok with me, most members use it anyway.

i dont mind. i have protection. smile

i just dont want the messages set via PM on this site to ease the worries of you and lisa so you dont have any legal issues to worry over.

and if ant reposts its thats her choice but i feel like she was bullied into erasing it. and i dont like that.

i do not want anyone in ny to go to this vet and have their bird or other animal eithanized behind their backs. so i will give his name if they email me.
