my mom went to bath and body works and got these scented plug in air freshners to put in our kitchen and living room. my bird is in the living room and my friend told me they cant be around perfumes would that count?????

yes it does count...anything...like that counts...its not advisable...i have some in my bedroom ...bathroom...living room but not my kitchen or family room where the bird goes

Yes! DO NOT use any artificial scents only things you can use are 100% beeswax candles! Don't put them in the living room OR the kitchen!

It's perfectly fine for them to be by lamps. Just take into consideration that if this lamp is in a family area, if it is dark and you turn the light on, you may freak out the little bugger. I have a Full Spectrum light by Doc's cage on a timer. Comes on at 9am and goes off at 7pm. This allows the natural light coming into the room in the morning to light up the room a bit before the lamp comes on and it's not all BLAAMMM!!!! in his eyes. Same thing in reverse at night. Light goes out with some ambient light left from the sun and then fades out for the night. Works pretty good.

XPR id actually use that full spectrum light time a little less in hour length but thats me...its only a suggestion but id make it more like 11 to 6pm.....thats seven hours and should be more than adequate...dont forget not everyday would be a actual sunny day outside.

this is only a suggestion
