I have a great friend that plays for the Arlington marine honor guard and has for the past thirty-one years - he also plays for the Arlington Philharmonic though he says that they play more pro quota for the movie industry than anything else. Personally Im more of a BB King, Charlie Parker or even Lynrd Skynrd hardcore fan.

As a matter of fact I am listening BB - "How low can you go"

You do get the feeling that classical music may be dying out, don't you, yet Andre Rieu is hugely popular.

Yea,I do.only those with with an active frontal lobe appreciate it. My friend played trombone for the movie "Cloud Atlas" , which I enjoyed immensely,he sent me an original pressing of the harmonics.

It's good to talk with you fellas again!

I like a lot of classical music, but some can be a bit dreary. Some is fantastic. Ravel's Bolero, for example, and most of Tchaikovsky's music. Many of the old Viennese waltzes. Lots.

Good to speak to you, too smile
