Lisa I just wanted to inform you that my other Parakeet Frickette died tonight.
Last month it was Frack and now this.
Frickette was lively yesterday (Friday) and this morning was very lazy and only wanted to sleep.
Tonight she dropped to the bottem of cage and flapped her wing once then nothing.
I'm so upset and this killed my Christmas.
Going out in morning to get another keet after I clean the cage again.

I am so sorry to hear that. If both died that quickly together I would not get another keet right away. It could definitely be something environmental.

I would thoroughly scrub the cage and then run tests of the temperature in the room at different times of day and night. I'd also do a thorough investigation of the house. Are you using non-stick pans? Candles? Incense? Spray cleaners?

Lisa thank you for getting back to me.
I scrubbed the cage this morning and resupplied cage for the new keet I got today.
The keet in cage was very protective of food at first and it was a stareing contest all afternoon.
The temp is between 76 to 78 during the day.
They like to go outside which is 37 degrees F
The keet that died had eaten washed fresh Brocolli that day.
Now tonight the new keet is resting BUT I did have some cage flight tonight.
Thanks again for everything.
Ed

Wait, they like to go outside?? In 37F weather? I'm quite confused by this.
